Amanda Ava Koci (born 16 February 1994), better known by her stage nameAva Max,  is an Albanian-American singer, songwriter, and rapper.  In January 2024, a new song "Whatever" was released.  As a matter of fact, it is not completely new song, as “Whatever’s chorus is a reinvention of Shakira’s 2001 breakout English single “Whenever, wherever” complete with Norwegian DJ Kygo’s signature tropical house stamp. Unlike Shakira’s lyrics of longing, here Max uses the original melody to flip the script and banish a partner who isn’t worth her time, singing, “Whatever, whatever / We were never good together / I'll be here, and you stay there / Truth is, I never cared.”
