Mägo de Oz is a Spanish folk metal band founded in Madrid on July 7, 1988, by Txus di Fellatio.
The band rose to fame in 1998 with the release of the album La Leyenda de la Mancha, which included tracks such as "Molinos de Viento" (Windmills), and later, with another album Finisterra, with songs like "Fiesta Pagana". Another major success, both nationally and internationally, came with Gaia I in 2003. This was the first installment of a conceptual trilogy: Gaia II: La voz dormida in 2005 and Gaia III: Atlantia in 2010, which achieved an even greater success than previous works.
